2019 Guide Available Mid-May 2019
(2018 Guide is Below)
As we have over the past ten years, in 2018 Support Local Agriculture has been focused on bringing attention to our local farmers. (Most of our farmers from 2018 have been in all ten guides based on favorable results from our print distribution and this website.) We have developed a Farm Stand Map for Berrien County. Our goal is to give those who are visiting Harbor Country, as well as year-round residents, the opportunity to explore more farms in the area.
We all know that this area along Lake Michigan is a magical place for agriculture. The fertility of the soil combined with the climate creates a perfect environment to grow just about anything. Southwest Michigan leads the world in non-citrus fruit production and 70% of the crop diversity in the United States grows in Berrien County. Our hope is that many folks will see our map and try new farm stands with exciting fresh produce, grass-fed meats, flowers, fiber, and eggs.
